By the order of the Head of State, the Minister of Energy was reprimanded, Akorda’s Press Office reports.

Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Kanat Aldabergenuly Bozumbayev, was reprimanded for improper performance of the duties implied by the lack of proper control over the domestic market of fuel and lubricants.

Let us remind you, yesterday at the government meeting, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev made a proposal to Nursultan Nazarbayev on reprimanding Kanat Bozumbayev.

According to the Constitution of Kazakhstan, Prime Minister has no power to give a reprimand to ministers. It is the authority of Presidents to do so. However, the Prime Minister is rightful to apply penalty and even fire the vice-ministers. Mr. Sagintayev used his right and removed vice-minister of energy Aset Magauov from his post. He also punished the top managers of KazMunaiGas JSC for not being able to regulate the problem of gasoline deficiency.
