The personal photographer of the Armenian President Davit Hakobyan told how he managed to make Nazarbayev’s an unusual photograph.

Davit Hakobyan said that the shot was taken at the time when CIS leaders were at the entry into the hall, where the meeting was to take place in an expanded format.

According to Hakobyan, he did not use photo editors. The photo was shot around 8:30 pm by Sochi time.

"When you enter the room, the light from above falls on the person's head. By closing the diaphragm, only the object in the center remains illuminated," says the photographer.

According to him, he prepared in advance to take the picture of Armenian president right there.

"I especially stood there to get my president to shoot like that. It turned out that I took a picture of Nursultan Nazarbayev. We waited for about 15 minutes. First, Nursultan Nazarbayev, then Vladimir Putin, and then Serzh Sargsyan came into the room. I probably did 10-15 shots.

"He is the Doyen among CIS member countries, he has such a stately gait, his glance is very strong, and that’s why this photo turned out to be pretty good. I have many pictures of Nursultan Nazarbayev for seven years of my work as a photographer of the Armenian president. But this one is such a creative, beautiful and probably unique," says Davit Hakobyan.

The photo went viral on social media and evoked сomments with a positive connotation.

"I would like to give this picture to President Nazarbayev personally. In the near future, another event is to hold the summit. I guess I will be able to give him this photo. I think it will be medium-sized so that I can give it into the hands of President,” says Mr. Hakobyan.

Let us remind you that the presidents of CIS member countries met in Sochi (Russia) and held the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (EAEC), which includes Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
