Nazarbayev meets Royal Dutch Shell’s CEO Ben Van Beurden

President Nazarbayev met his guests at his official residence Akorda in Astana. During the bilateral meeting, they discussed the perspectives of further cooperation in the oil industry of the country, including Karashyganak and Kashagan oil fields projects, reposts Akorda Press.

The President of Kazakhstan underscored Royal Dutch Shell’s active promotion of the international fair EXPO-2017 held in Astana this year and thanked the leadership of the company for participating in the exhibition.

Ben Van Beurden thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the meeting and congratulated Kazakhstan for the successful holding of the International exhibition.

– I had an opportunity to visit the most attractive pavilion – Nur Alem. That was awesome, said the CEO of Royal Dutch Shell.

Ben Van Beurden reminded that on November 18, the parties are marking the 20th anniversary of the agreement on the division of the product on the mentioned oil fields and stressed the important role of the Kazakh President in its implementation.

– These projects have proven to be successful and effective. All costs were repaid on time, and now the projects are working for profit, – said the Head of State.
