President Nursultan Nazarbayev receives US Ambassador George Krol

President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to the Republic of Kazakhstan George Krol, reports the press service of the President.

‘For 26 years, friendly relations have been built between our countries, more than 70 interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements have been signed’, said the President.

During the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the importance of the agreements reached with US President Trump on priority areas of the strategic partnership, including in the areas of combating terrorism, strengthening the nuclear non-proliferation regime, and further expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation.

‘About 500 companies work in Kazakhstan with American participation; among them, about 140 companies work together. They are engaged in the production of goods and the export of their products to other countries’, said the Head of State.

George Krol thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the high appreciation of his diplomatic activity in Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that the forthcoming visit will further strengthen the ties between the two states.

The head of state also noted that the special role of George Krol in the development of relations between the USA and Kazakhstan.
