Kazakhstan lifted restrictions on Kyrgyz confectionery products import

Kazakh government lifted temporary restrictions on the import and sale of confectionery products from Kyrgyzstan, reports the press service of the Committee for Public Health Protection of the Ministry of Health.

According to the information, the reason for the cancellation was holding sanitary and anti-epidemic measures, strengthening of control over the Kulikovsky Confectionery enterprise by the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan. Also, the laboratory tests of products have met the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

To reduce the risk of non-conforming products, Kazakhstan’s Committee continues to monitor the security of the product's enterprise in the framework of enhanced laboratory control, which is regulated by the relevant decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Recall, on November 10, 2017, Kazakh government stopped food imports such as dairy, meat and confectionery products from Kyrgyzstan due to the violation of technical regulations of products.
