For the last three years, 2 500 Kazakhstanis imprisoned because of corruption

Over the past three years, more than 2,500 people, including officials and government-owned company executives sentenced in Kazakhstan for corruption, the Kazakh President said on the annual Message named ‘New opportunities for development in the conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ to the Kazakhstani.

During this period, about 17 billion tenge of damages reimbursed.

The President noted that a preventive fight against corruption would continue, and a lot of work will be done.

 ‘Digitalization of processes in government agencies, including their interaction with the population and business is important. In particular, citizens should see how their appeals are handled, and how they receive full answers to them on time’ the President concluded.
