Hungary allocates 200 grants for Kazakhstanis

Hungary allocates 200 grants for Kazakhstanis in 2018-19 academic years, said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Kazakhstan Andras Baranyi at the press conference.

He informed that in academic year 2018/2019, Hungary will allocate 200 grants for the citizens of Kazakhstan. The grant covers free education, a monthly scholarship allowance of about EUR130 for Bachelor and Master degree students and nearly EUR450 for PhD students, hostel accommodation or EUR130 as a payment for rented accommodation, and health insurance.

In turn, the Kazakhstan side allocates 45 grants, 20 of them on bachelor degree, 20 - on Master degree and 5 grants on doctoral studies.

In 2017, Hungary allocated 200 grants for Kazakhstan citizens since 2017, 90 of them on bachelor's degree, 90 - on master's degree and 20 grants for doctoral studies.

On March 27, 2017, within the framework of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sagadiev and the Hungarian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Andrash Barani signed the Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Agreement in the field of education and science on November 19, 2013.
