"In general, I want to note that the performance of the program in 2017 marked a positive trend. Good results have been achieved on all the main indicators," Bakytzhan Sagintayev said.

Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed to pay attention to a number of issues.

First, ensuring faster growth in the manufacturing industry. At the recent extended meeting of the Government, the Head of State noted that despite the growth of the manufacturing industry as a whole, its share in the overall structure of the economy in recent years does not exceed 11%.

In this regard, the Ministry for Investments and Development, together with the Ministry of National Economy, sectoral ministries, Atameken NCE, is charged with conducting a comprehensive analysis of all manufacturing industries and identifying potential growth points.

Second, the Head of State in his Address to the people of Kazakhstan stressed that industrialization should become the flagship of the introduction of new technologies. The Minister for Investments and Development, Zhenis Kassymbek, needs to take this into account in the development of the Concept of the new State program of industrialization.

Third, the implementation of the Industrialization Map projects. Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that more than 100 projects were included in regional business maps, but not all of them meet the priorities of industrialization. The Ministry for Investments and Development, in conjunction with the Ministry of National Economy and the Atameken NCE, needs to take this matter to the test and ensure proper monitoring.

Besides, the Prime Minister instructed to pay attention to indicators of export volumes of processing industry of Akmola, South-Kazakhstan regions and cities of Astana, Almaty.
