Prime Minister got acquainted with development of the cosmodrome and Baikonyr city

Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, as part of the working trip to the Kyzylorda region, got acquainted with the development of the country's space industry through the example of the Baikonur Cosmodrome, as well as with plans for further improvement of the Baikonyr city, reports primeminister.kz.

During the visit, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev was informed about the current situation in the development of the space industry and on further plans, as well as on the implementation of the Concept of Cooperation at the Baikonur Complex, including the work on attracting investments.

Vice Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, M. Nurguzhin, and Deputy Director General of the Roskosmos State Corporation, A. Mazurin, presented a plan for the further development of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

Deputy akim of the Kyzylorda region, S. Kozhaniyazov, and head of the city administration, K. Busygin, in their turn, told about the implementation of the joint program for long-term development of Baikonur. At the moment, the construction of housing and supply of the city with natural gas have begun, preparatory work is underway for the reconstruction and modernization of water supply and sanitation systems and measures are being taken to address social issues.

It should be recalled that yesterday Bakytzhan Sagintayev paid a working visit to the South-Kazakhstan region on behalf of the Head of State. The goal was the inspection of the implementation of the Addresses "Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", "New Opportunities Under the Fourth Industrial Revolution" and the Five Social Initiatives of the President. Today the working trip of Bakytzhan Sagintayev to Kyzylorda region finished.
