PM holds a meeting with Michael Wirth, Chairman of the Board of Chevron

The Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the Chairman of the Board of Chevron, Michael Wirth.

At the meeting, the issues of cooperation with the company and implementation of new investment projects in the field of digitalization and the introduction of new technologies into the economy of Kazakhstan within the framework of the implementation of the President's Address "New Opportunities Under the Fourth Industrial Revolution" were discussed.

Recall, Chevron was founded in 1879 under the name of Pacific Oil Coast Co. Today it is the 5th largest integrated energy company in the world and the leading private oil producer operating in the Caspian region. The company is engaged in the extraction and processing of oil and gas, petrochemicals, electricity generation, the developments in the field of geothermal energy and biofuel.

The company is headquartered in San Ramon (California, USA), operations are conducted in 180 countries around the world. The staff numbers 62 thousand people. The company's capitalization is $232 billion.

Chevron is engaged in hydrocarbon exploration and production in more than 20 countries (Kazakhstan, the USA, Australia, Canada, China, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, Nigeria, Angola, Congo, Great Britain, etc.).
