Kazakh President meets with Michael Wirth, Chief Executive Officer of Chevron

During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues and prospects for cooperation in the sphere of oil production and refining, reports press service of Akorda.

The Head of State stressed that over the past years the parties have built close and mutually beneficial relations, and marked the beginning of a new stage of cooperation.

"You have invested in one of the deepest and largest deposits of light crude oil in the world. Now the issues of its transportation have been solved. It should be noted that this field is Chevron's largest asset," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The President of Kazakhstan also congratulated Michael Wirth on his assumption of the office and wished him success in this responsible position.

In turn, M. Wirth thanked the Head of State for his congratulations and also stressed the productive nature of the relations built.
