Dmitry Balandin wins gold in Spain

Dmitry Balandin won a gold medal at his 200 m breaststroke, setting a record for the Spanish Championship - 2:09.31 at the Spanish Open Swimming Championships, reports the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.

Balandin also set up the previous record as he covered the semifinal distance in 2:10.96 a day before. The second Kazakhstani breaststroke swimmer Aybek Kamzenov took the 7th place at this distance.

At the same time, at the 100-meter freestyle, our swimmers Adil Kaskabay and Adilbek Musin made their way to the final part of the competition, finishing in the semifinals, respectively, the second and sixth positions. Final swimmers will hold today.

Recall, on the first day of the tournament at a distance of 50 meters butterfly race Adilbek Musin took a silver award.
