Presidential elections starts in Azerbaijan

Presidential elections are held in Azerbaijan. The voting began at 8.00 am at the local time.

It is crowded at the polling stations in Baku.

Officials also actively participate in presidential elections. Thus, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyn Bagirov voted at polling station number 7. Also, the head of the State Security Service Madat Guliyev voted.

Voters can vote during the day in 125 constituencies at 5,426 permanent and 215 temporary polling stations. The number of electorates is more than five million people.The Central Election Commission highlights the running of the election live on its official website. Web cameras were installed at 119 polling stations in the country.

Recall, to monitor the election, 894 international and 58175 local observers accredited. The elections to end in the evening at 19.00 pm.
