Kazakh President receives Minister of National Economy, Timur Suleimenov

At the meeting, the Head of State was presented the information on the results of the analysis of economic development indicators for 2017 and a report on the current activities of the ministry. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the importance of strategic planning and forecasting in preparation and implementation of state programs.

"All measures should be implemented for the benefit of Kazakhstan's economic development. It is necessary to study the implementation of state programs, including the fulfillment of the Five Social Initiatives. The Ministry of National Economy should determine further steps for all state bodies, both at the central and regional levels," the President of Kazakhstan said.

In his turn, Timur Suleimenov reported to the President on the results of economic development for the first quarter of this year and the impact of global processes on the economy of the country as a whole.

At the end of the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan gave a number of specific instructions, including the further development of Kazakhstan's export and transit potential, as well as the implementation of state and sectoral programs.
