Issues of cooperation with PRC under Belt and Road Initiative discussed in Ukimet Uyi

Today in Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with deputy member of the 18th CPC Central Committee of the People's Republic of China, Administrator at the State Administration of Taxation of the PRC, Mr. Wang Jun, reports primeminister.kz.

At the meeting, issues of the creation of an effective mechanism for interaction between the tax authorities of the two countries under the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as cooperation with the PRC in the field of tax policy were discussed.

For reference: Kazakh-Chinese tax relations started in 2001, when an agreement was signed in Astana between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the People's Republic of China on avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion with respect to income taxes (September 12, 2001) .

Within the framework of the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan in June 2017, a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan and the State Administration of Taxation of the PRC on mutual understanding and cooperation on tax issues.
