The volume of industrial production grew by 5.1% in Kazakhstan

According to the results of January-April of this year, the volume of industrial production grew by 5.1%, including in the mining industry by 4.9%, in the manufacturing industry by 5.9%.

According to the Minister for Investment and Development Zhenis Kasymbek, an increase in industrial production is observed in 14 regions.

"In the mining sector, the output of non-ferrous metal ores increased by 2.1% and iron ore mining by 3.9%. In the manufacturing industry, positive dynamics is observed in the main industries. In the metallurgical industry, by 4.1% (black by 6.1%, color by 2.4%); in the chemical industry by 14.1%; in machine building by 10.2%; in the pharmaceutical industry by 7.7%; in the production of building materials by 3.8%; in the light industry by 2.1%", he said at a meeting of the Government.

According to the minister, the maintenance of prices for basic base metals at the level of last year favorably affects the volume of industrial production in Kazakhstan.
