The second railway station to build in Shymkent

A railway station with a capacity of 20,000 passengers per day will be constructed, the press service of the South Kazakhstan region reports.

The railway station "Shymkent-2" to be built along the international transport corridor "Western Europe-Western China". In addition, a freight forwarding station and a bus station will be built. The total area of the station with the station area, hotel, buildings and parking are 16 hectares.

The opportunity to implement and put the project into operation by 2020 in honor of the significant date - the holding of the cultural capital of the CIS countries in Shymkent.

Akim of the region stressed that the project is socially significant and will improve the service of passengers and attract tourists to the region.

To date, this project is at the stage of working coordination with authorized state bodies of Kazakhstan in accordance with the algorithm for planning the republican projects of public-private partnership.
