B. Sagintayev meets with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense of Qatar

Today in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Defense of Qatar, Khalid Mohammad Al Attiyah.

At the meeting, issues of development and deepening of mutually beneficial relations with the state of Qatar in various sectors of the economy were discussed. In particular, within the framework of the International Exhibition of Weapons Systems and Military Equipment KADEX-2018 held in Astana, the tools for increasing cooperation in the defense industry were considered.

This year marks 25 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Qatar. In the period of 2005-2017, gross inflow of direct investments from Qatar to Kazakhstan amounted to $46.8 million. For 2017, the inflow of direct investments to Kazakhstan amounted to $2.7 million.

At the exhibition KADEX-2018 there are 144 exhibits of weapons and military equipment of domestic and foreign manufacturers (a total of 318 companies from 28 countries), of which aviation equipment —20 exhibits (6 helicopters, 10 aircraft, 2 UAVs), 124 land equipment exhibits. The exhibition will be visited by official delegations from 48 countries.
