Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting of Expert Council on Economy

Regular meeting of the Expert Council on the Economy was held May 31 in Ukimet Uyi with the participation of the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, reports

At the meeting, the development of competitiveness in the agricultural sector, as well as implementation of systemic measures for accounting and formalization of employment of the population were discussed.

In particular, the analysis and proposals of experts on the current state of affairs in the agricultural sector and further development of competitiveness by the regions and productions of food, beverages and light industry were considered.

On the second matter of the agenda, the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Formalization of Employment of the Population" was discussed. The project envisages the introduction of the Single Total Payment system for legalizing the activities of informally employed persons.

Shayakhmetova, chairman of the board of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, A. Buranbayev, head of Astana International Scientific Complex, O. Zhandossov, director of the Public Foundation "Center for Economic Analysis "Rakurs," M. Mahmutova, director of the Public Foundation "Center for Analysis of Public Problems," Deputy Prime Minister E. Dossaev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population M. Abylkassymova and others made speeches at the meeting.
