Meeting on development of tourism industry in Kazakhstan held in Ukimet Uyi

June 16 in Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting regarding the creation pf the State Program for the Development of the Tourism Industry in Kazakhstan, reports primeminister.kz.

At the meeting, the most important aspects of the development of the tourism industry were discussed and measures of state support for tourism activities were considered.

Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly made a presentation of the project of the Tourist Map.

The map project includes 62 tourist destinations and facilities, of which 46 are operating and 16 are new. The basic selection criteria were the potential increase in the volume of tourist flow and the uniqueness of the object as a tourist magnet for the whole country. Historical and cultural significance of the proposed objects was taken into account, for example, monuments recognized by UNESCO or included in the list of objects of the Great Silk Road, as well as Ruhani Zhangyru Sacred Objects of National Importance.
