KGIR-2018: Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds bilateral meetings with large international investors

The Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a number of meetings with participants of the forthcoming Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable, which will be held tomorrow in Astana, reports primeminister.kz.

At the meeting, issues of further development of investment and trade cooperation were discussed. Foreign investors talked about the most attractive projects under implementation in Kazakhstan, shared their plans for the future, and highlighted the most promising areas for investing in Kazakhstan's economy.

At the meeting with Chairman of the Board of ROTEC JSC Mikhail Lifshitz, of oil and gas equipment production matters, forecasting system development, application of advanced technologies in upgrading the generating capacities of Kazakhstan were discussed.

ROTEK has the best specialists in the field of mechanical engineering and production facilities for servicing the turbine production. Modern technologies and highly qualified personnel make the company a stable, successful enterprise and a reliable partner.

Within the framework of the meeting with the Vice Chairman of the SUN Group Shiv Khemka, such investment areas as new technologies, natural resources, smart cities and smart agriculture were considered.

In his turn, Sagintayev noted that the Government of Kazakhstan fully supports the participation of the Fund in the implementation of manufacturing projects.

SUN Group is one of the leading investment companies in the markets of Russia, India and other developing countries. The group of companies operates in such industries as aerospace and oil and gas industry, metallurgy, real estate, infrastructure, food production, as well as renewable energy sources.

During the meeting with Managing Director of the Milken Institute James Morgon, infrastructure, healthcare and human capital development projects were discussed. In particular, James Morgon informed the network of institutional investors who are members of the Milken Institute.

Milken Institute is an independent economic analytical center in California, USA. The Institute publishes research and holds conferences that apply market principles and financial innovations on social issues in the US and the world.

At the meeting with Managing Director of Servier company in Russia and the EAEU countries, Jerome Gavet, investment and transfer of modern technologies in the production of innovative drugs in Kazakhstan were discussed.

Servier's office in the Republic of Kazakhstan was opened in 1996 with the aim of selling medicines manufactured by the company, as well as supporting Kazakh distributors in deliveries of medical products produced by the company.

In the framework of the bilateral meeting with ENI Vice President for Central Asia Luka Vinyati, the sides discussed cooperation in the implementation of social projects, in the field of exploration and production, as well as in the field of renewable energy sources.

ENI is an international oil and gas company, one of the recognized "super-giants" that works successfully in 73 countries of the world. As of June 30, 2017, the total market value of the company was $55 billion. ENI has been working in Kazakhstan since 1992 in the field of exploration and production of oil and gas raw materials.

Recall that July 3 in Astana Bakytzhan Sagintayev will chair the second Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable. The main goal of the event is to present the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, discuss the policy of Kazakhstan in the field of investment, economic development and competitiveness.
