Astana hosted the 3rd international forum of humanitarian sciences "The Great Steppe"

Today, the 3rd international forum of humanitarian sciences "The Great Steppe", organized by the International Turkic Academy (TWESCO), was held in Astana.

State secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova and heads of international organizations such as UNESCO, ISESCO, eco-science foundation, Turkic Council, Turkpa took part in the opening ceremony of the forum dedicated to the article of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev on "The course towards the future: revival of identity" and the 20th anniversary of Astana. The state secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulshara Abdykalikova, welcomed participants of the meeting, where diplomats, statesmen and public figures, heads of fundamental research centers, prominent scientists and researchers took part.

About 250 scientists-researchers and experts from Azerbaijan, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, China, Moldova, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkey made reports on 6 sessions.

Issues of development of science in the Turkic world, scientific integration in the Eurasian space, urban culture, traditions and innovations in Turkology and Turkic literature, peculiarities of the Turkic state tradition were discussed at six following sessions: "the harmony of civilizations and the urban culture" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Astana; "Turkic literary connections: tradition and innovation", dedicated to the 125th anniversary of poet Magzhan Jumabayev, and the 90th anniversary of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov; "new features of Turkology", “revival of identity of the great steppe”, “scientific aspects of integration: the future and directions”, “features of Turkic statehood”, dedicated to 100 years since the death of famous Turkologist v.v.radlov and 125 years since the discovery of v.tomsen in interpreting Turkic writing.

In addition, during the event, TWESCO organized an exhibition of books published in recent years.
