Kazakh President participates in the opening ceremony of the III World Nomad Games

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev participates in the opening ceremony of the III World Nomad Games held in Cholpon-Ata, reports Akorda's press service.

Presidents of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban also attended the ceremony.

More than a thousand actors, musicians, singers, riders and athletes performed in the theatrical performance using 3D-graphics, which showed circus numbers, fire show and acrobatic tricks.

Games will be conducted in 37 sports disciplines, including 16 Kyrgyz national sports and 21 sports disciplines of other nomadic peoples. Among them there are 8 kinds of equestrian competitions for different distances, 13 variants of wrestling, 5 disciplines on shooting from a traditional bow, three intellectual competitions, and also competitions on national hunting with hounds and hunting birds. The Games will be attended by about 2000 athletes from more than 60 countries.
