Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting of Government Council on attracting investors

September 20 in Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting of the Governmental Council on attracting investors, where implementation of the National Investment Strategy was considered.

At the meeting, issues of implementing the National Investment Strategy and further improving the investment climate in the country were discussed. In particular, the approaches of the Ministry for Investments and Development to the transition to trilingual norm-setting activities for investment, improvement and optimization of existing measures of state support for investors, conducting a comprehensive study of the investment ombudsman’s effectiveness, implementing policies and institutional mechanisms for protecting investors' rights in Kazakhstan, the protection of investors' rights and the conditions for international trade and modernization of logistics infrastructure were considered.

The meeting was attended by representatives of central government bodies, as well as through the videoconference — akims of a number of regions and cities of national importance.

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed to work out the proposals on the part of akims of the regions on investment projects.

Control is assigned to First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin.
