Askar Zhumagaliyev holds a meeting with MCI Technology of India

The Kazakh delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Askar Zhumagaliyev arrived in the Republic of India on a working visit. During the trip, Kazakh specialists got acquainted with the digitalization projects in India, visited the National Informatics Center, where Indian colleagues presented solutions in the field of information services and information and communication technologies.

In New Delhi the Vice Premier of Kazakhstan Askar Zhumagaliyev met with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of India Ravi Shankar Prasad.

At the meeting Askar Zhumagaliyev spoke about the Digital Kazakhstan State Program. The Deputy Prime Minister noted the significant experience of India in the implementation of projects in the field of cybersecurity, the development of human capital, biometrics and others.

"The development of human capital is one of the most important areas of the Digital Kazakhstan program. Without a highly professional staff, it is impossible to implement digital initiatives. We see that India has accumulated good experience in training qualified IT staff. And we are very interested in this experience of our Indian colleagues," Zhumagaliyev said.

Ravi Prasad noted that Kazakhstan's digital initiatives are in line with world trends, and the comprehensive support of the Head of State is the key to the successful implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan program. The minister also expressed his readiness to share experience in the field of personnel training and drew attention to the fact that India is interested in cooperation in all other spheres.

In the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications of India, leading Indian companies such as NASSCOM, NIELT, CDAC, SPTI, EP presented their products. The Kazakh side presented the Astana Hub and told about the prospects for the development of innovative ecosystem in Kazakhstan.

Answering questions of the Indian media, Askar Zhumagaliyev noted that no country can implement digital projects on its own. As technologies change, they improve rapidly, therefore, constant exchange of opinion, experience, knowledge is necessary. In this regard, such meetings are useful both for Kazakhstan and for India. Zhumagaliyev also invited Indian companies to Astana Hub, the opening of which will be held November 5, 2018.
