Tashkent to host first Uzbek-Russian media forum

The first Uzbek-Russian media forum, organized by the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, will be held in Tashkent on Oct. 4-6, Uzbek media reported.

The forum covers such issues as expanding the Russian public’s awareness of the history, culture and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, raising the qualifications of domestic television and radio broadcasting specialists, in particular, studying the experience of leading Russian television and radio companies in preparation of information and analytical programs, wrote

Also prospects for cooperation between the information agencies of Uzbekistan and Russia in news exchange and further development of internet information resources, as well as the influence of social networks on public life will be discussed.

A part of the forum on cooperation in information technology covers issues such as the exchange of experience in creation and development of IT parks, development of staff for the information technology and communications sector, and interaction in the development of national internet resources.
