Kazakh gymnast talks on desire to come to competitions in Baku again

Young Kazakh gymnast Adeline Vafina, who ranked second at the 4th Open Azerbaijan and Baku Aerobic Gymnastics Championships in the age category of 7-8 years old, was pleased with her performance.

"I am very glad that I have ranked second,” Vafina said. “I liked to perform in Baku’s National Gymnastics Arena - here is a big and beautiful hall. It is good that the fans encouraged us. I will definitely come to the competitions in Baku again.”

“I dedicate the victory to my coach and will train harder to achieve the best results,” she added.

Today is the last day of the 4th Open Azerbaijan and Baku Aerobic Gymnastics Championships in Baku’s National Gymnastics Arena.

Today, gymnasts are competing in the individual program in age categories - 7-8 years old, 9-11 years old, 12-14 years old, 15-17 years old, 18 years and older, in trios - 7-8 years old, 9-11 years old, 12-14 years old, 15-17 years old, 18 years old and older, in groups - 7-8 years old, 9-11 years old, 12-14 years old, 18 years old and older, as well as mixed pairs - 7-8 years old, 9-11 years old, 12-14 years old, 18 years old and older.

Gymnasts from Azerbaijan (represented by “Ojag Sport” and “AyUlduz” clubs), Russia and Bulgaria are taking part in the competitions. The championship for the first time sees performances of gymnasts from Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
