Nurlan Nigmatullin held talks with Russian Duma Speaker

Within the framework of participation in the third Meeting of Speakers of the Parliaments of the Eurasian Countries, the Chairman of the Majilis, Nurlan Nigmatulin met with the Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the press service of the Majilis reports.

A representative forum, the main topic of which is “Economic Cooperation, Environment and Sustainable Development in Eurasia” began today in Antalya.

Focusing on the effectiveness and relevance of this dialogue platform, the interlocutors noted that with each new meeting, the number of participants increases and the geography of countries’ representation expands. This year, about 40 countries and 5 international organizations are taking part in the forum. Speaking about relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, Nurlan Nigmatulin stressed the strategic nature of relations between the two countries, based on friendship and active interaction between Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

According to the Speaker of the Majilis, this sets the dynamics of the work of parliamentarians who are ready to provide legislative support to the agreements of the heads of two states.

Nurlan Nigmatulin and Vyacheslav Volodin focused on the relevance of the topic submitted to the third Meeting of Speakers of the Parliaments of the Eurasian Countries. Kazakhstan and Russia are in a single economic space. The importance of environmental issues and environmental protection is also noted.
