Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructs to intensify work on construction of new schools using mechanism of per capita funding

October 9 at the Government meeting, during the consideration of topical issues in the education system in the light of the tasks set in the President’s Address “Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Income and Quality of Life,” Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of specific instructions to improve the quality of school, pre-school and higher education.

After hearing the reports of the Minister of Education and Science Yerlan Sagadiyev, as well as akims of a number of regions, Sagintayev noted that the Head of State indicated in his Address that the parents were concerned about the safety and conditions of children's education.

In this regard, the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the akimats, was instructed to pay special attention to improving the quality of education. The Prime Minister drew attention to the need to address the issues of three-shift training, the organization of food and drinking water in schools, creating conditions for children with special educational needs, and providing schools with sports halls.

The Ministry of Education and Science has been instructed to intensify work on the construction of new schools using the per capita financing mechanism. And also to establish an operational and clear explanatory work on innovations affecting the interests of the majority of schoolchildren, teachers, parents.

In general, the ministry must fully implement all the tasks set in the draft National Plan for the implementation of the Head of State’s Address.
