Nurly Zher and 7–20–25: Bakytzhan Sagintayev gets acquainted with implementation of housing programs in Zhambyl region

In the course of his working trip to the Zhambyl region, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the new 15th microdistrict in Taraz, where he got acquainted with measures taken to improve the quality and affordability of housing in the region on the example of residential housing construction under the Nurly Zher state program, the press centre of Prime-Minister reports. 

In the Address “Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Incomes and Quality of Life,” the Head of State identified the availability of high-quality and affordable housing as one of the main factors for creating a comfortable living environment.

During the inspection of the object, Prime Minister Sagintayev was informed that in the new neighborhood it is planned to complete the construction of 10 houses (800 apartments) in 2018. Housing will be sold under the Program 7–20–25, voiced by the President in the Five Social Initiatives. In addition, in the residential area, private developers are building 205 standard individual houses, which will also be completed before the end of 2018.

In order to improve the availability and quality of housing, under the Nurly Zher program, 13 billion tenge were allocated for the construction of 32 residential buildings and 37 engineering infrastructure projects in 2018 in the region. The execution is currently 96%. As a result, over 10 months 448,300 square meters of housing were handed over, which is 8.4% higher than in 2018.

The Deputy Akim Y. Dauylbayev also informed that on behalf of the Head of State, the akim of the region introduced a subsidy mechanism of 10% of the initial contribution from the local budget. In general, the program will allow to provide 30% of the waiting lists in the region in 2018.

Recall that, in the first nine months, 8.8 million m² of housing has already been commissioned in the republic within the framework of the Nurly Zher State Program, which is 11.6% more than the same level in 2017. More than 77,000 families improved their living conditions, of which about 9,500 families purchased housing built with public funds. In total in 2018, according to the Ministry for Investments and Development, it is planned to ensure the commissioning of at least 12.1 million m² of housing, of which 1.3 million m² or 22,000 apartments are built at the expence of state investments.
