Soyuz-FG carrier rocket with Soyuz MS-11 manned spacecraft blasted off Baikonur Cosmodrome

On 3 December 2018, at 14:31 Moscow time, Soyuz-FG carrier rocket with Soyuz MS-11 manned transport spacecraft blasted off pan №1 (Gagarin’s Start) of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

At 14:40 Moscow Time, Soyuz MS-11 detached from the third stage of the carrier rocket under normal conditions at the set near-Earth orbit and continued its autonomous flight to the International Space Station under control of the specialists of the Russian Mission Control Center. As per plans, approach to the ISS and the docking of the manned transport vehicle with the Poisk mini research module will be done automatically, using the four-loop program. The docking of the spacecraft and the station is planned for 3 December 2018, at 20:35 Moscow time.

On board of Soyuz MS-11 manned transport vehicle are the members of the ISS Expedition 58/59: Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, NASA astronaut Anne McClain, and CSA astronaut David Saint-Jacques.
