Astana is included in the international IDC rating of smart cities

The state program Digital Kazakhstan provides for the task of entering the cities of Kazakhstan in one of the 5 global ratings of smart cities.

“Our department together with IDC (International Data Corporation) carried out work on the survey of branch offices of the local government of Astana city on the issues of economy, transport, environment, safety and digitalization.

''According to the results of the work, Astana is included in the international rating of smart cities according to IDC,'' said Alisher Abdykadyrov. According to a survey, the capital of Kazakhstan reached a maturity level of 2.48 points. The maturity level of some cities of the world: 4.4 - Singapore, 3.7 - New York, 3.6 - Dubai, 3.2 - Barcelona, ​​3.1 - Moscow.

“Astana has become one of the first cities in Central Asia, which was surveyed on this model and received an assessment of the maturity of Smart City,” he said.

Also, following the results of the studied experience of introducing digital technologies in the city of Akkol, the introduction of the IoT platform has begun.
