​Kazakhstan and South Korea discuss travel issues of their citizens

Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea held the 5th round of Consular Consultations, reports the press service of the MFA.

The Kazakh delegation was headed by Tauboldy Umbetbayev, Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and the Korean side – by Director-General for Overseas Koreans and Consular Affairs Woo In-shik of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the competent authorities of the two countries.

At the consultations, the sides discussed topical issues of consular relations. In particular, they raised such issues as denying entry to Korea to citizens of Kazakhstan, preventing illegal migration and ways to solve them, protecting the rights of citizens of the two countries, expanding the legal framework and other relevant issues.

After the consultations, the parties exchanged aide-mémoires.
