Prime Minister Askar Mamin holds a meeting on digitization in Astana Hub

Prime Minister Askar Mamin visited the International Technopark of IT start-ups Astana Hub, where he inspected a number of projects under development and held a meeting on digitalization.

During the inspection, Mamin met with representatives of start-up projects, R & D laboratories and prototyping of Sheberkhan, investors and representatives of the Business Angels Club.

A workshop on the introduction of digital technologies took place. Minister of Digital Development, Defense and Aerospace Industry Askar Zhumagaliyev, Chairman of the Board of Zerde Yerlan Durmagambetov reported on measures for the development of digital technologies in Kazakhstan. Today Astana Hub is becoming an “umbrella” for granting preferential tax treatment for Hub participants and a simplified process for obtaining visas for foreign participants. Projects of 150 startups are being developedin the technopark; more than 500 entrepreneurs are working on them.

Following the discussion, the Prime Minister gave a number of specific instructions to the ministries of digital development, defense and aerospace industry, national economy, industry and infrastructure development to enhance the introduction of advanced digital technologies, to ensure synergy of start-up projects with state entrepreneurship development programs.

Visiting the Expo exhibition area, Mamin also familiarized himself with the construction and reconstruction of the Exhibition Center, the building of an IT university. In addition, the Prime Minister was presented the city innovative platform “Seed Space Astana.” Mamin also visited the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects, and also held a meeting on the development of the Astana International Financial Center.b
