Prime Minister Askar Mamin visits Almaty for a working trip

As part of his working trip to Almaty on March 29, 2019, the Prime Minister Askar Mamin visited industrial enterprises, transport infrastructure facilities under construction and held a meeting with representatives of the tourist industry of the Almaty region, reports the press service of PM.

During a visit to the Special Economic Zone Park of Innovative Technologies, he examined the KBTU Drilling Center and the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy, where oil and gas industry specialists study and undergo advanced training. Askar Mamin visited the plant of KazTech Innovations LLP for the production of radio electronics, unmanned aerial vehicles, products made of composites, the object of a solar power plant, in the administrative center of the Information Technology Park SEZ, the head of government heard the reports on the activities of enterprises located in the zone.

During the inspection of the road junction on Ryskulov-Kuldzhinsky Avenue, the Prime Minister heard information on the development of the transport scheme of Almaty, also inspected the construction of the Dostyk metro station, located in the ​​intersection of Abay Avenue with Momyshuly Street. The new metro stations Dostyk and Saryarka with a length of 3.1 km will allow to increase passenger traffic in the metro from 46 to 86 thousand people per day. The Prime Minister heard reports on the development of Almaty public transport and the implementation of the LRT construction project.

Mamin visited the clothing manufacturing factory Kazlegprom-Almaty, as well as a number of enterprises in the industrial zone of the city. In particular, the plant for the production of engineering protection systems of Tokyo Rope Manufacturing Corporation, visited the construction sites of the Hyndai Trans Kazakhstan passenger car plant, as well as Asia Steel Pipe, which will manufacture large-diameter welded steel pipes from 300 to 900 mm. The plant will annually supply up to 100 thousand tons of pipes for the transportation of oil, gas, water and oil products, as well as for use in the mining, construction, chemical industry and energy. The working trip continued at the assembly plant of electric buses Falcon Eurobus LLP, where the models of third generation electric buses were presented to the Prime Minister.

In Almaty, the Prime Minister visited promising objects of the tourist mountain cluster of the Almaty region, and held a meeting on topical issues of its development. The meeting was attended by representatives of the tourism business community of Almaty and Almaty region.
