Kazakh President meets with the Chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Miroslav Laichak, reports the press service of Akorda.

During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the peaceful policy of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy and noted the commitment of the Republic of Kazakhstan to constructive cooperation with international organizations.

“I am pleased to welcome you in the city of Nur-Sultan, where you are serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia and the OSCE Chairman-in-Office,” said the Head of State.

The head of the international organization, in turn, noted that the purpose of the OSCE is conflict prevention, security, effective multilateral cooperation, and also highlighted the strategic role of Kazakhstan in resolving international crises.

- I am grateful that you took the time to receive me and my delegation. Taking this opportunity, I want to congratulate you on assuming the office of President and wish all the best to you personally and to your country. I am very pleased to visit Kazakhstan as the OSCE chairman,” said Miroslav Laichak.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed topical issues of the regional and international agenda, separately dwelled on the prospects of interaction of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
