Kazakh President lays flowers at the Monument of Independence and Humanism

The President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, laid flowers at the Monument of Independence and Humanism and honored the memory of ancestors who sought the freedom of the Uzbek people. The sculptural complex is located on Mustakillik Square in Tashkent and symbolizes the aspirations and appeals of the Uzbek nation for peace, freedom, mercy, good neighborliness, friendship and fraternity.

The monument is a metal sphere decorated with an ornamental pattern, which depicts a map of Uzbekistan. The monument is complemented by a sculpture of a happy mother with a baby in her arms.
