President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank of Russia Herman Gref, reports the press service of Akorda.

The head of state thanked H. Gref for participating in the work of the XII Astana Economic Forum, commending the informative nature of his speech, which made a meaningful contribution to the work of the event.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the growth rate of the economy is largely dependent on technological leadership and the development of digital technologies. In his opinion, companies introducing new technologies and innovations that change the structure of economic activity are becoming more successful.

- In Russia, you are a great specialist in the field of digitalization and artificial intelligence. We would like to hear your opinion, including on the future activities of the Astana International Financial Center,” said the President of Kazakhstan.

The interlocutors discussed topical issues of the development of the banking industry, the impact of the sanctions policy on the economies of the two countries, as well as prospects for the use of modern tools to stimulate economic growth.
