Askar Mamin instructs regional akims to take organization of children's summer leisure time under special control

At the meeting of the Government chaired by the Prime Minister Askar Mamin, ministers of education and science Kulyash Shamshidinova, culture and sports — Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, internal affairs — Yerlan Turgumbayev, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Kazakhstan Zhandarbek Bekshin and akims of regions reported on the organization of recreation, leisure and employment of children during the holidays. This was reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

“The issue of children's recreation is very important. It concerns every family,” said the Head of the Government Askar Mamin.

Full coverage of children with rest and employment is planned to be provided in Karaganda, Almaty, Pavlodar regions. The prime minister instructed the rest of the regions to take urgent measures to organize rest at the proper level and to ensure the employment of children during the summer period.

“Children during the holidays should have free access to museums, theaters, nature reserves, national parks, sports facilities. It is necessary to organize thematic meetings, events, trips,” said Mamin. “To organize summer leisure activities, patrons should be more actively involved, and there are positive examples from the regions.”

As part of the organization of summer holiday activities, the prime minister stressed the importance of ensuring the safety of children and instructed the bodies of internal affairs, education, health, regional akims to mobilize the work of the relevant services.

In order to protect and promote the health of children, the formation of a healthy lifestyle, special attention is given to the quality of food in public places, the sanitary level of food outlets and leisure facilities.

“All camps should be provided with medical personnel and relevant teaching staff,” said Askar Mamin.

Following the consideration of the issue, the proposals of the Ministry of Education and Science to expand the number of camps for the next year were supported.

“It is necessary to work on opening up to a thousand new summer camps at sanatoriums, camp sites and in national parks, universities, to revive inactive camps. This will allow children to fully reach the summer vacation,” noted Mamin and instructed the regional akims to take children's rest at special control and ensure maximum coverage of children with rest and employment.
