Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visits Military Unit of the National Guard

During the visit, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces familiarized with the information stand and model of the military unit 5573, the state of the residential and service infrastructure, examined the training facilities, the weapons exhibition.

Addressing the commanders and military personnel, the President stressed that the National Guard performs the most important tasks of maintaining stability in the country, ensuring the safety of citizens and society. The head of state elaborated on the issues of social support for servicemen.

- A separate issue is payables, especially for housing payments. The government should take comprehensive measures to fully repay it. It is unacceptable when we verbally declare the social protection of servicemen, but in fact we do not fulfill our obligations, - said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The head of state emphasized the need to improve service and combat training, material and technical equipment, giving appropriate instructions to the Government and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
