President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev meets with Atul Khare, UN Under-Secretary-General and Jean-Pierre Lacroix, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, reports the press service of Akorda.


During the meeting, issues of international security and interaction of Kazakhstan with the United Nations in peacekeeping were considered.

- Kazakhstan is committed to the goals and objectives of the UN. We support the reforms initiated by the UN Secretary General, in particular, in the field of peacekeeping missions. We are ready to cooperate to increase the effectiveness of peacekeeping activities. Unfortunately, the modern world is extremely unstable, so I hope that our joint activities will make the planet more stable and secure, - said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In turn, Atul Hare expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan for supporting peacekeeping operations under the auspices of the UN.
