"Business way to Kazakhstan" seminar held in Vilnius

On May 27, 2019 the Embassy together with the consulting company “Count Line" and guest expert from Kazakhstan Askar Makhmetov, organized a practical seminar “Business way to Kazakhstan".

The seminar was attended by entrepreneurs and representatives of Lithuanian companies eyeing on establishing business cooperation with our country.

Special emphasis was made on explaining the main provisions of the regulatory framework on doing business and investing in Kazakhstan.

Detailed material on the new integrated “ecosystem" to attract investment in Kazakhstan, free economic and industrial zones, investment preferences, as well as the activities of the AIFC was presented.

Tax expert Askar Makhmetov dwelled on the establishment of representative offices of foreign companies in Kazakhstan (business registration, opening an account, e-signature, licensing activities), and noted the advantages of the Kazakhstan tax code.

Along with this, the expert informed about the customs procedures in Kazakhstan, emphasizing the possibility of duty-free export of products from Kazakhstan to the EEU countries, preferential conditions for cross-border trade in the Khorgos-Eastern Gate FEZ.

Seminar participants noted its high content and educational character.
