As of Sep. 1, 2019, harvesting is underway in all regions of the republic. The area of agricultural crops in 2019 is 22.2 million hectares (206 thousand ha or 0.9% more than in 2018). Cereals are spread over an area of 15.4 million hectares (including wheat – 11.4 million hectares), oilseeds – 2.9 million hectares, cotton – 131 thousand hectares, sugar beets – 19.6 thousand hectares, vegetable and melons and potatoes – 452.4 thousand ha, fodder crops – 3.3 million ha.

Harvesting crops is being completed in Zhambyl (99.6%) and Turkistan (100%) regions. Productivity in these regions averaged 19 kg / ha. As a whole, 4.5 million hectares of grain crops were harvested in the republic, which is 22.8%. 5.2 million tons were harvested with an average yield of 11.5 c / ha.

For timely harvesting, the required volume of diesel fuel was determined – 395 thousand tons (the average price for agricultural production – about 179 tenge / liter). The average percentage of completion is 50%.

The Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructed to take all measures for high-quality and timely harvesting, primarily, providing fuel and lubricants for agricultural producers.

“There is little time left for cleaning. The weather in the major grain-growing regions is unstable. Therefore, it is important not only to have time to harvest, but also to perform work with minimal losses. In general, the course of the harvesting campaign is not bad. The Government has taken all the necessary decisions on financial and logistical support for harvesting,” said Askar Mamin.

The Head of Government drew particular attention to the need for timely delivery of grain to grain receiving enterprises and ensuring proper storage conditions for the harvested crop.
