Head of the Senate meets with the Ambassador of Jordan

The Chairman of the Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva and Ambassador of Jordan to Kazakhstan Yusef Abdelgani discussed issues of further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, press service of the Senate reports. 

The Head of the Senate noted the great contribution of Jordan and king Abdullah II to the settlement of complex processes in the middle East.

"We highly appreciate the activities of a close friend of our country - King Abdullah II to reform the socio-political life and economy of the Kingdom, as well as a constructive position on current international problems. The visit of the king to Kazakhstan in November 2017 is especially important". Given the efforts of Abdullah II in matters of peace and stability in the middle East, he became the first winner of the "Nazarbayev Prize for contribution to a world without nuclear weapons and global security", said the Head of the Senate.

They noted the similarity of positions of Nur Sultan and Amman on most international and regional issues.The President of the Senate - Head of the Secretariat of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions spoke about the preparations for the next meeting of the Secretariat and expressed gratitude to the Jordanian side for its support and active participation in the forum.

The Jordanian Ambassador expressed a request to make a visa-free regime for Jordanian citizens and open direct flights between our countries. This will expand trade and economic cooperation, develop tourism potential and facilitate the influx of Jordanian students.

Dariga Nazarbayeva supported the Ambassador's proposals, stressing the importance of visa-free regime for strengthening cooperation between our countries.
