President of Kazakhstan lays flowers at the monument in Beijing

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev laid flowers at the Monument to the People's Heroes in Beijing on the second day of his state visit to China, posts the President's press secretary Berik Uali on Facebook.  

The Monument to the People's Heroes is a ten-story obelisk that was erected as a national monument of China to the martyrs of revolutionary struggle during the 19th and 20th centuries. 

On the front of the monument is an inscription in Mao Zedong's handwriting, which reads, "Eternal glory to the people's heroes!"

To call, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in China for state visit yesterday.

During the visit Tokayev met with Chinese President XI Jinping. Following the talks, they signed number of significant documents.
