Berdibek Saparbayev visits Armenia on a working trip

Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Berdibek Saparbayev paid a working visit to the Republic of Armenia on Friday, Sep. 13. The Kazakh delegation also included the Executive Director of the Fund of the First President – Elbasy Asset Issekeshev and the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov.

During the meeting, Berdibek Saparbayev and the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan addressed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.

“Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the development of mutually beneficial partnership with Armenia, including in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, therefore, on behalf of the prime minister, we arrived to discuss the possibilities of cooperation in the field of education, healthcare and information technologies,” said Saparbayev.

In turn, the deputy prime minister of Armenia expressed interest in deepening bilateral ties, noting the significant potential for increasing the commodity turnover between the countries.

Following the meeting, Berdibek Saparbayev presented books to his Armenian counterpart — a collection of Abay’s works, “Selected Treatises” by Al-Farabi and the “Era of Independence” of the First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Also in Yerevan, the Kazakh delegation visited the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies. The center teaches children from 12 to 18 years old working in the IT field using modern technologies. The training is organized in four areas: animation, game development, web development and digital media, focusing on dancing, sports and music. In 2016, TUMO took first place in the ranking of innovative schools in the world compiled by the French magazine We demain. Branches of the center operate in Paris, Moscow, Beirut and other cities.

In addition, the deputy prime minister got acquainted with the work experience of the Children of Armenia Charitable Fund. Working mainly with children and youth, the fund implements education, health, and socio-economic development programs to comprehensively address the problems of rural poverty.

During a visit to Yerevan State University, Berdibek Saparbayev visited the Center for Kazakh Language, Culture and History. Here, the deputy prime minister talked with students studying the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people, and also presented the center with 50 books in Kazakh, Russian and English. Among them are the works of Abay, Mukhtar Auezov, Shakarim Kudaiberdyuly, Abish Kekilbaev, Akhmet Zhubanov and many others.

Berdibek Saparbayev donated 50 more books to the National Library of Armenia and the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts.

The Kazakh delegation also visited the Avanta Innovative Medicine Center, which is developing and stimulating the use of the latest programs and approaches in the field of dentistry and aesthetic medicine. To date, more than 77 thousand patients from all over the world have visited the clinic.
