Tokayev meets with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto

The Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, press service of Akorda reports.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects of expanding cooperation in trade, economic, transport, logistics and technological spheres, as well as exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda.

According to the President of Kazakhstan, Finland is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan in Northern Europe and the European Union.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appreciated the constructive and trusting political dialogue with Finland and stressed the commitment to the development of mutually beneficial relations.

According to the Head of state, along with the implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Finland in October 2018, the search for new areas of joint action will expand the boundaries of cooperation between the two countries.
