Sooronbay Jeenbekov meets with Darkhan Kydyrali

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with President of the Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali. The meeting was attended by member of the Turkic Academy, Professor Kadyrali Konkobayev, press service of the Kyrgyz President reports

The sides exchanged views on cooperation in education and research. The Head of state expressed gratitude to the Turkic Academy for its assistance in holding events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov in 2018, and for assistance in popularizing the epic "Manas".

Sooronbay Jeenbekov also noted the active work of the Academy in holding international conferences, forums and seminars dedicated to the Turkic history, culture and great personalities of the Turkic people. He stressed that the issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation play an important role in the development of bilateral relations between the countries.

President Sooronbay Jeenbekov expressed hope that the upcoming international conference in November this year in the Kyrgyz Republic, dedicated to the 950 anniversary of the publication of Kutadgu Bilig by Zhusup Balasagyn, will be held at a high level.

The President of the Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali informed the acting Chairman of the SSTG-the President of the Kyrgyz Republic about the current activities and priority plans facing the Academy for the nearest period.

Darkhan Kydyrali expressed readiness to expand cooperation with educational and scientific organizations of Kyrgyzstan in order to further popularize the Turkic history and culture, including the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
