President of the Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva met with the first lady of the Republic of Turkey Emine Erdogan during the world summit of leaders to fight cancer, which is taking place in the capital, press service of the Senate reports.

The Head of the Senate thanked the interlocutor for participation in the event, noted the importance of studying, diagnosing and treating cancer both nationally and globally.

In turn, Emine Erdogan highly appreciated the organization of the summit, proposed bilateral cooperation in the field of health.

"Kazakhstan and Turkey are connected not only by friendly and fraternal relations, but also by partnership. Our countries successfully cooperate in many areas. Therefore, I am sure that following the summit we will strengthen cooperation and mutually beneficial ties in the field of medicine", - said the first lady of the Republic of Turkey Emine Erdogan.
