Head of state holds meetings with members of the National Council of Public Trust

At the meeting with the well-known human rights activist, lawyer Ayman Umarova, the issues of protection of citizens' rights, improvement of legislation in this area were discussed. In particular, A. Umarova raised questions on decriminalization of article 130 and amendments to article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The President, noting the importance of A.Umarova's proposals, stressed the need to use the experience of foreign countries in the implementation of anti-discrimination legislation.

During the conversation with political scientist Daniyar Ashimbayev, proposals were considered to strengthen the monitoring of the implementation of state programs and the activities of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund through the active involvement of the expert community and the public.

Issues of migration and improvement of migration legislation were raised during the meeting with public figure Auyt Mukibek. The interlocutor supported the initiative of the Head of state avoid the word "oralman" in favor of "kandastar".
